were green belts at the time ) at Wayland Park in 1966 Recieved his Green Belt from Tug Wilson at Winnipeg. School of Judo & Karate in 1967 Received Shodan Rank from M. Tsuruoka at age 18 at Fort William Karate School on Simpson St. in 1970 Presently holds the rank of First Degree Black Belt Former Instructor at Thunder Bay Karate School ( Formerly Fort William Karate School ) Teaching high school physics & outdoor skills, science & technology 2006 Thunder Bay rep for The Alpine Club of Canada. Canada's national mountaineering organization Still uses martial arts concepts in rock and technical ice climbing |
